A little bit about kayaking at Camel Ski School…

A kayak is a narrow watercraft which seats either one or two paddlers. You will have a double ended paddle to help you manoeuvre the kayak forwards and backwards and from left to right. We have a selection of single and double kayaks so that you can paddle together or on your own.

We provide several options for both kayaking and paddle boarding, giving you the chance to improve your skills and meet new people…

Pay & Play Double

‘Pay and Play’ is our standard one hour session for kayaking. These sessions are not ‘lessons’ as such, but before you go out on the water you will receive a land briefing on how to sit the and paddle the kayak. You will then spend the rest of the hour on the Estuary to ‘play’ and practise your new skills!

Play & Play Single

It’s great fun and there will be a qualified member of our team on a safety boat out on the water with you at all times should you need any additional guidance or help. We have a few different routes depending on the wind and tide conditions. This is recommended for beginner to intermediate paddlers.

NB: Due to insurance we can only take 8 years + on our single and double kayaks and each child MUST be accompanied by an adult on either a kayak or a SUP.
