WHAT YOU WILL DO: The three days will combine practical sessions on the water with land-based classroom tuition and feedback.  Our qualified instructors will use the ‘Camel Ski Way’ Booklet to track your progress. You can waterski with two skis, mono or wakeboard – or do all three.  We will even have some fun on a kneeboard too.

In the classroom lessons we will cover such areas as skiing/boarding technique with video analysis, general boat skills, understanding tides, wind and weather, first aid and ski fitness with some fun and games thrown in...all with the aim of developing your practical and theoretical skills to ensure that when you venture out onto the water you have the essential knowledge to have fun and stay safe.

Roughly you’ll spend two thirds of your day on the water and a third on land.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

Wetsuits need to be worn for your session. Wetsuit hire from us is included in the price if you don't have your own.  We provide all the other equipment such as waterskis/wakeboards and buoyancy aids. Just remember to bring your swimmers.

We recommend that you bring plenty of warm clothing as even on warmer days it can get chilly out on the water and wear appropriate footwear for the boat. Other useful items to pack are a warm/sun hat and gloves, sunglasses and sun cream, and water bottle - we can provide free top-ups at the café.

There are no changing facilities at Camel Ski. Clients can change on the Pontoon outside the School, so please bring towels/Dry Robes to enable this. Please note, we cannot hold any personal belongings in the office for you during your session so please bear this in mind when deciding what to bring with you. We do however have a number of small lockers available to hire for £1.00. Ideal for storing a small bag and personal belongings in when you are on the water. The nearest public toilets are in the Rock Quarry Car Park at the end of Rock Road.

Depending on the time of the session please bring plenty to drink and eat. We do have a cafe at the Ski School selling a selection of hot and cold drinks, light lunches and snacks.

What about parking? There is parking at the Rock Quarry Car Park at the end of Rock Road, about 320 metres beyond Camel Ski School. It is open 24 hours and parking fees apply. Payment by card or RingGo - Location Code: 15661. Please allow plenty of time to park before your session, especially in the busy holiday seasons.

What happens if I need to cancel, or the weather is bad? If you need to cancel or change your booking you can do so via our online booking system. All cancellations or changes must be made 24 hours prior to the booking. Unfortunately, any no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours cannot be refunded.

We will only cancel sessions if the conditions are dangerous - rain won’t stop us! For our full cancellation policy click here.
